Sri Jayateerthara Aradhana celebrations at Mantralayam

Sri Teekakrutpaadara aradhane was celebrated with devout grandeur at Mantralaya under the guidance of H.H. Sri Sri Subudhendra Teertha Swamiji. The day started with a bright spark of veda gosha followed by Sri Raghavendra Stotra parayana. There was a golden pallaki seva offered to Sri Jayateertaru. Later a grand rathotsava was held in the prakara. Devotees thronged to attend this mesmerizing event. It was indeed a grand sight to see Matha scholars and young vedic students (of Mantralaya Gurukula) leading this rathotsava. After Sri MadhvAcharya it is Sri Teekakritpada who occupies a prominent position in the world of Dwaitha philosophy. Sri Madhvacharya wrote AnuVyakhyana, to elucidate the points he had made in BrahmaSutra Bashya. Sri Jayateertharu wrote a commentary for this – Sri Nyaya Sudha. Our own gurugalu Sri Raghavendra Swamiji composed ‘Parimala’ as a commentary for this very book. Shri Jayateertharu who wrote such great commentaries (teekas) came to be known as Teekacharya. Without Sri Teekakritpada’s interpretation, none of the books of Madhvacharya would be easy to comprehend.
